MediaTribe, Inc., headquartered in Los Angeles, was founded in February of 2006 by Lucas Foster and Oliver Eberle, both experienced Hollywood producers and entrepreneurs, to execute on their mutual vision that traditional Hollywood content can be extended and enhanced to have perpetual life, becoming a platform for interactive communities that engage and extend the traditional one-way static Hollywood relationship.
MediaTribe envisions an ecosystem of original entertainment content, professionally produced in familiar formats but built to have lasting life through new storytelling techniques that are designed to blend both passive and interactive elements, and to form 'virtual worlds' around original stories and themes, as well as artists, celebrities and media figures. MediaTribe believes in professionally produced content, and in user-generated content that is shaped by professionals into original formats and programming.
As MediaTribe establishes its brand and market channels in 2008, the company is looking to add distribution relationships and partnerships with content producers and new media companies around the globe in order to maximize the value of its channels and to accelerate its worldwide market reach.
